Get Ahead Over Summer! Prep for the Sci course (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology) you’re taking next year.
Use its textbook: I will base your tutoring on your textbook.
Develop the independent study skills necessary for college:
• solve HW problems using the proven study algorithm I've formalized
• I am on-call eves to immediately address difficulties arising during your studying

I firmly believe that good teaching is helping students to teach themselves. By their doing so, they better grasp the material, experience those wonderful "Ahaa!" moments, and can better apply their understanding to other contexts. I thus base my tutoring on helping the student to solve assigned problems.

Such enabling of students requires me, the tutor, to figuratively put myself in students' shoes. In order to anticipate the conceptual hurdles with which the subject confronts them, I must recall the conceptual hurdles that I encountered as a student. Combining these recollections with my training, I competently (and w/ enjoyment) help students teach themselves.
