Personal Statement

As an experienced educational tutor, I am available to provide support to students of all ages. I am a graduate of the University of California, Irvine in Chemical Engineering and have been working in the field full-time for approximately 9 years. My experience includes college, high school, and elementary age individuals. I have tutored numerous students in many subjects including but not limited to math, physics, chemistry, and general sciences. In supporting the student, I practice active listening, which includes presenting relevant questions and identifying a student’s needs. I can help and support them in improving their study skills including test taking skills, time management, listening skills, text book marking, and memory and concentration. I will also provide the opportunity for the student to find and use the available resources he/she has at his/her disposal.
