As a mother and grandmother, I am passionate about both children and education. I have been an elementary teacher for 13 years and have taught every grade from PreK to 4th grade. I am currently a 4th grade teacher with the KIPP school district. I have been with KIPP for 10 years, since they opened up their 1st elementary school. Since being with KIPP, I have received two Teacher Excellence awards, which are national awards given to KIPP teachers who have demonstrated Excellence in Teaching.
