I strongly believe that a teacher's responsibility is to, not just to show the student how to solve a problem, but to explain each step and ask pertinent and leading question to that lead him/her to understand the process and arrive at the appropriate solution.Verbal support, praise and encouragement are vital in giving the student a sense of accomplishment and a desire to continue on and progress.
